at GM Place last night
There were winners all around Vancouver’s GM Place last night as the Mexico Tourism Board, in partnership with Air Canada Vacations, presented the Vancouver Canucks hockey game. The crowd was treated not only to a convincing 6-2 victory by the home team against the visiting Nashville Predators, but one particularly lucky fan was the winner of an Air Canada Vacations trip for two to sunny Cancun. Patricia Plummer gets her next Mexico vacation for free, but the rest of the fans -- and Vancouver-area travellers in general -- can enjoy substantial savings on a dream trip to Mexico with Air Canada Vacations, which is offering an early booking bonus of $400 per couple on Air & Hotel packages from Vancouver to Cancun and Ixtapa -- via Air Canada Vacations' non-stop flights. Jim Hunter, CEO Regina Airport Authority Inc.
Regina International Airport set a new record for passenger traffic in 2007, with a total of 962,692 passengers travelling through the airport. The total represents a 10.5% increase over 2006, which at 871,416 passengers was held the previous record. Passenger traffic at the airport has increased by 32% in the last three years. December was also a record month for the airport, with 87,000 passengers using the terminal -- the largest monthly total in the airport's history. "These results demonstrate the increased capacity of our terminal, the strong economic times Saskatchewan is enjoying, and the close link between them," said Regina Airport Authority Inc.
