SUNQUEST WINS IN EDMONTON
First ever Consumers’ Choice Award presented to Sunquest in Edmonton in ‘Travel Wholesaler’ category
Sunquest has received their first ever CCA in Edmonton
Sunquest has been selected for the Consumers’ Choice Award (CCA) in Edmonton in the category of Travel Wholesaler. This is the first time that Sunquest has received the award in this market, which will be presented at the CCA Gala at the Shaw Conference Centre on Sept. 13, 2008. The CCA is celebrating its 21st year in Canada, and its 7th year in Edmonton. It is an important institution on the North American business scene. Recently, Sunquest won the same award from Vancouver-area consumers for the 3rd consecutive year, from Calgary-area consumers for the 2nd consecutive year, and from Winnipeg-area consumers for the 1st time this year. Consumers select the various winners of the CCA through an independent and objective survey conducted by Léger Marketing.

STATE OF EMERGENCY IN LETHBRIDGE
The mayor of Lethbridge, Alberta, declared a state of emergency Tuesday after an intense thunderstorm dropped more than 45 millimetres of rain in about 90 minutes, flooding streets and homes. Roads were closed, cars were partially submerged in underpasses and basements flooded as the storm went through Lethbridge and surrounding areas.
