News developments from the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau's 
The Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau's (HVCB) has announced their accolades, events and attractions, developments in the islands, and transportation updates for July 2008. Some new events and developments include: LEVEL4, Honolulu’s new nightclub and ultra lounge overlooking Waikiki, opens this month at the Royal Hawaiian Center. The club will feature 414 square-metre dance floor, a 35.36-metre projection screen, catwalks suspending aerialists above the dance floor, and DJs from Hawaii and beyond. AIR CANADA LABOUR CODE EXEMPT?

The Federal Labour Minister Jean-Pierre Blackburn is reviewing Air Canada's request to be exempted from part of the Labour Code, with regards to its decision to close its Halifax and Winnipeg bases as part of a plan to lay off up to 2,000 employees. Air Canada has asked for a waiver from developing an adjustment plan with employees as required under the Labour Code. The cuts will also affect 145 flight attendants in Winnipeg and 300 in Vancouver.
