HI REGIONS MERGE IN WESTERN CANADA The two regions of Hostelling International (HI) that span Western Canada have merged – a move designed to improve the services offered to budget travellers in B.C. and Alberta. The expanded region is home to 30 hostels from Tofino to Edmonton. Together, they recorded a total of over 400,000 overnights in the past year. This includes city properties in Vancouver, Victoria, Calgary and Edmonton; mountain resort hostels in Banff, Lake Louise, Jasper and Whistler; as well as a network of nine wilderness hostels along the Icefields Parkway throughout Banff and Jasper National Parks. |
