| BCAA LAUNCHES 24-HOUR HELPLINE |

New service designed to help customers deal with travel emergencies
BCAA Travel is offering customers a new 24-hour traveller's helpline service, putting them in toll-free touch with professional travel assistance, anytime, anywhere in the world. The BCAA 24-hour Traveller's Helpline, launched yesterday, is designed to “prevent & deal with overseas travel traumas” – everything from civil unrest and natural disasters to lost reservation records, cancelled flights to lost passports, damaged luggage to serious illness. "We not only want to help our customers before their trip, but during and after as well," says BCAA travel services director, Dale Urquhart.The helpline will offer assistance and advice to troubled travellers wanting immediate access to a friendly travel advisor. Customer service representatives contracted by BCAA on behalf of its customers will answer and manage calls. Read on for details.

Dinner seminars set for Vancouver & Langley
Goway is getting serious about selling Asia to Western Canadian travellers. The company has expanded its presence in Western Canada with a new Vancouver-based team devoted to selling Asia product. The four-person team,which will work exclusively with the travel trade, is headed up by Tom Myring, who recently joined Goway from Jade Tours, where he served as BC sales manager. Rounding out the team are Annalyn Yap, Harry Wei and Sangeeta Singh. The booklet encourages Canadians to inform themselves to travel the world responsibly.
